I had the most amazing stay at a cozy inn in this city. The lovely couple who run the hotel were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Despite the language barrier, they made me feel right at home. One evening, they even treated me to a complimentary bottle of their homemade wine and we had a delightful conversation. They went above and beyond by waking up early to see me off and even helped me with my luggage. They even gave me a parting gift of Japanese oranges. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The breakfast served in a Western style was delicious and served promptly. The hotel's location was convenient, within walking distance to bus stops, ski rental shops, and restaurants.
Nothing, it is perfect.

We had an exceptional stay at a charming and cozy homestay in Hakuba. The host and his wife were incredibly kind and accommodating, even staying up until 1:30am to welcome us. The homemade breakfast with fresh bread and jams was delicious and filling. The cleanliness of the place was impressive, especially considering the shared bathrooms. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Although the location was a bit far from the shuttle bus stop, it was still convenient to get around. we highly recommend this homestay for anyone visiting Hakuba.

The shared bathrooms at the hotel were well-kept and the beds were comfortable. The provided breakfast was also good and satisfying. Additionally, the hosts were friendly and accommodating, making our stay enjoyable.
One negative aspect was that the hotel was not correctly advertised. The quad rooms, which were supposed to have four beds, only had two beds and two futons that had to be laid out on the tatami area.

The owners of the hotel were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home during our stay. They went above and beyond to make our experience special. One night, they even invited us to join them in the lounge area and offered us a complimentary bottle of their homemade wine. We had a wonderful time chatting with them and they truly care about their guests. Additionally, when we had to check out very early in the morning, the owner woke up early just to see us off and helped us with our bags. He even gave us a bag of Japanese oranges as a parting gift.
The only downside we could mention is that the bathrooms were located on the first floor of the hotel. Other than that, we had no complaints about our stay.

The location of the inn is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and bus stops nearby. Guests mentioned that it was a short walk to free shuttle transfers and the main bus stop. The rooms were spacious and clean, with enough space for 2-3 people. The shared bathrooms were always well-maintained and there was never a wait. Additionally, the owners were friendly and welcoming, even gifting guests a bottle of local wine upon arrival.
The only downside mentioned by one guest was that the coffee served during breakfast was average.

During our stay, we were warmly greeted by the hosts and presented with a gift of local wine. Our room was clean, tidy, and equipped with heating and warm doonas. The shared bathrooms were always immaculately clean and never crowded. We appreciated the option for a relaxing bath in the hot-tub. The breakfast, although not extravagant, was reasonably priced and served on time. The hostel is conveniently located, with cafes, pubs, and bus stops to the slopes just a short walk away.
Limited English communication could be a challenge at times.

During our Christmas stay, we enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms were clean and the hosts were very welcoming. One of the highlights was the delicious breakfast that was served every morning. We particularly enjoyed the western-style breakfast options, which gave us a good start to our day on the slopes. Additionally, the location of the hotel was convenient as it was within walking distance to the bus stop and restaurants/shops in the area.
There were a couple of downsides to our stay. the beds in the hotel were a bit too firm for our liking.
